PENDULUM DECEPTION
Just over a year ago, my son took his own life. I wanted to learn to contact him so joined a mediumistic development group. After a few months with the group, I decided that I was not emotionally ready to develop. Nonetheless I wanted to continue to try to communicate with my son and heard that it is possible to get spirit messages by way of a swinging pendulum.
I tied my son’s signet ring to a piece of cotton and started asking questions. At first got some accurate answers. When I asked if it was my son, the pendulum would swing to the ‘yes’ response. Soon I had my mother and father coming through as well. Some of the answers didn’t make sense but there was an overall accuracy of 90%.
It all started to go wrong when the make-shift pendulum started to spell out bad language. Somehow a bad spirit interfered with the messages and I only got frightening results. I now worry about what is happening. Sometimes the light chord in the bathroom swings of its own accord. What should I do?

I suggest that you stop working with the pendulum right away. The problem is that it can respond to the influences from your own unconscious mind. It will respond to your hopes and fears as well. The pendulum is very useful for some types psychic work such as dowsing for water or earth energies. However, I do not consider it the right tool for spirit communication. Just like the ouija board and planchet, it is too easily influenced by your own fears. |
